diplomatic facilities in libya. in the newsroom tom fitzgerald, fox 5 news. >>> more demonstrations have turned violent outside the u.s. embassy in cairo, egypt. police shot tear gas into the crowds while they protested the anti-muslim movie and the u.s. anti missions in the region. there was a peaceful demonstration tonight outside the white house. >> it was hastily organized by the washington area's muslim american community but well attended and, in fact, many were of libyan heritage. they met in front of the white house in the middle of pennsylvania avenue. this was right around dusk tonight. the flag on the roof across the street is at half staff. they held candles and talked about the impact of the deadly violence of the past 24 hours. organizers say this vigil was inspired by libyan americans living in tripoli where we're told there was a similar demonstration wednesday night as well as in the city center of benghazi. some say they had met ambassador chris stevens and admired him greatly. >> extremely genuine
